Where is Smeds produced?

The European Food Authorities observe very rigorous technical and health rules and systems, and deliver a health certificate to assert the good quality of the food product, such as Smeds cheese.

How is Smeds produced?
The cows are fed with healthy fodder in the best care conditions so as to produce clean and high-quality milk.
Fresh milk is taken directly from the farms, in chilled trucks, to the Smeds cheese’s plant where it is submitted to accurate control and sophisticated tests, through most advanced and state-of-the-art technologies.
The cooking operation of the cheese is undertaken in high-standard European plants, at high temperature to preserve its quality specifications; afterwards, it is canned and packed with the most sophisticated equipment and machines, specially designed to preserve its freshness and excellent quality.
The Food Authorities take samples of Smeds cheese and submit them to quality control tests before putting them on the market.
